whadda week!

howdy folks. my apologies on the lack of updates this week - i've been a bit busy as of late. however, the weekend has presented itself, and i am found sitting on the balcony staring out a praha 5 (my living quarters) wondering how easily time flies.

tuesday i had the mere privilege of getting to see one of the most amazing AMAZING a-freakin-mazing bands play in prague - sigur ros. they absolutely blew me away. there were times throughout some of their songs where i literally was unable to move - it was an out-of-body experience. here are just a few pics from that night.

the seat i was in wasn't that popular of a choice, but i still managed to sneak some great pics in the " no cameras allowed" concert. you cannot tell kami webb that pictures aren't allowed. that's just insane. might as well tell me ketchup is no longer produced - i refuse to believe it! i caught a lot of their concert on video, but that is something that i will keep on the DL... i'm not real sure how the czech police would react if the found out it was illegal footage. here is one last pic of that night:

these are my favorite shoes. and they are dying. they literally have a hole in their soul. mother, please send more immediately.

that night was just spectacular!!! this past week was just spectacular, period. this week is history for this city - 40 years ago this past week the soviets invaded czechloslovakia. it was 40 years ago this thursday when chaos filled the streets of this city. as i strolled along wenceslas square, there were numerous booths, stages, musicians, posters dedicated in rememberance of that day. thursday night, we decided to go out and take a look, and these are just a few pics of that.

this last pic is the memorial dedicated to jan palach - his story is something. my roommate, tyler, wrote a beautiful song inspired by jan - please go listen to it. it's beautiful.

it will move you to tears.

1. this is the metro we use every day. it is something else. sara and i actually got stopped by the police on our way to make sure we had our passes. i BEGGED them to take a picture with me to have proof - but they all rejected me....whadda let down!
2. this picture is quite humorous. the lady to the left was wearing a see-through dress with her white thong showing. it was something else. the way people dress now-a-days.

so - that about wraps up how this past week was spent. aside from being in class from 9-5 every day - you don't need visuals of that. i would  ask, however, that you pray that the Lord provides direction for where sara and i are meant to go. i know he will, so i'm not particularly worried about it - it'd just be nice to have an answer quickly, considering we have one week of classes left.  haha.

and now....

GHOSTS IN MY PICS.

i saved this for last. when i went to edit this... i noticed two strange figures that were in it. there wasn't a light behind me, so it's not mine or anyone elses shadow... but there are two shadows looking as though they are holding hands staring at the picture. it is crazy. there isn't ANY photoshop on this. just straight ghosts! ha.

i am going to an outside movie theater, so i ought to go get ready. have a splendid weekend chums.
