hello chums and chumettes. monday is closing in on me, so i thought i'd update quickly with a few pictures of sunday's adventure before i forget. so - sara and i decided we would go to the "creepy tower"... better known here as the TV tower. it is the most controversial piece here, as the locals absolutely HATE it. it is an eye sore for sure, so i cannot disagree with them. it is an ODD ODD ODD conceptual idea and i'm unsure as to the extracting of it. it has these alien babies crawling up it... it is odd. but on the way there we took an escelator in the metro, and i found a cute cute cute cute cute little old couple taking it up as i was going down, so i snapped a picture of them. look below.
isn't that the cuest little thing ever? it's quite hard to see b/c it isn't that big of a file, but it is so cute. i just wanted to give them big ole' hugs. i didn't though... czechs don't like to hug americans... or say hello. anyhow, here are a few pics of what i saw on my way to the tower.
HOW THE HECK DID HE GET THESE PANTS ON??? and good luck gettin' them off fellah.
these two pics are for jimmy. a puppy great dane... ha.
they were besties. :)
and now, the main event. check this creepy tower out.
these are outer shots of the place... look at the alien babies crawling up it... so weird.
1. i am literally saying, "what the h-e-double hockey sticks?!?!"
2. i felt like such a bad (insert word here that mother asked me to remove) here.... haha
unlike petrin hill, thankfully, this place had an elevator. it was quick and painless to ride that puppy up to the 8th floor and get some of the most beautiful shots of praha (it's what the actual name of prague is)
father/son duo. absolutely adorable
these were just a couple pics i got. trust that i have a multitude of them, but it takes entirely too long to download them on here, so these will have to suffice until i get my picasa site up to just post all my pictures up for you all to see. :) that will come in due-time.
on another note, i have an interesting story for you all. i'm a bit annoyed, actually. tonight we went to a sports bar to get some french fries and ketchup. i was craving something american. i'm literally living off of pretzels, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, snickers, and coca lite. the latter two i reward myself with...when i finish off another round of the former mentioned. yes. anyhow, when we got the bill, they charged us a different price than the menu showed us. so when i asked the guy, who said he knew NO english, he went behind the bar and grabbed this hand-typed menu with the items we had ordered and told us this was the menu they had now, and that was how much the meal was. (which was more than the actual menu showed). i tried arguing with the dude, but he just said the real menu wasn't out yet, and continued to tell me i was going to pay from this flopped out pre-made sheet that he didn't show us when we actually ordered. wtf?!?! not cool. i told him that that was false advertisement and we weren't obligated to pay a price that wasn't listed on the actual menu, and even told him that they don't need to have a menu that isn't right on the table, but he just grabbed it from me and put it back on the table. i don't think he appreciated it. even though it was just like a $1 difference, it really bugged me! i am going to take a czech person in with me next time and see if they try that again. stupid stupid man! blast him!
anyway, that is about all. i DID get to use my ketchup i brought - i stuffed that puppy into my purse and used it accordingly! it was fantastic. now if i can just get the czech republic to open up a mrs. baird's bread factory, chick-fil-a, and sonic.... i'd be a happy happy camper!
in the mean time, i ought to catch some sleep.
arrivaderci my peops, arrivaderci!
- k-dubb.
