today has been pretty spectacular. i had my second lesson with vladimira and it went superbly. she was just great. we went over modal verbs and word order in sentences. she is going to be out of town next week, so she begged if we could do two lessons the following to make up for it. how odd that she cannot get enough of learning the english language. that's spectacular to me.
today we had another teacher come in. her name is olga! not many people can say they actually know an olga. but i can. ohhh olga. ha. she was really nice, and her approach to teaching i found easy to pay attention to. tomorrow she is going to teach us about cv's and how to make our resumes and whatnot. fun times that'll be.
on another note, tonight as i was coming home from my lesson, i listened to this playlist an old friend made me a while back, and it had this song called "the highest and the greatest" by tim hughes. and all of a sudden my hands were up and i was dancing in the metro. the few times i opened my eyes i was being glared at by the fellow praguers and one of them started laughing. i could have cared less, though, b/c all that was on my mind was the lyrics to the song:
wake every heart and every tongue
to sing the new eternal song
and crown him King of Glory now
confess Him, Lord of all
you are the highest
you are the greatest
you are the Lord of all
angels will worship
nations will bow down
to the Lord of all
a day will come when all we sing
and glorify our matchless King
your name is unrivalled stands alone
you are the Lord of all
let every heart
let every tongue
sing of Your name
sing of Your name
let every heart
let every tongue
sing, sing, sing
lifting you high, higher and higher
lifting you high, higher and higher
after i heard these lyrics i couldn't help but put my hands up. i was literally dancing down the isles of the metro. it was so awesome. and despite the belief of the surrounding people, Jesus was all over that place. it was just incredible. the holy spirit was all over that place. it didn't matter if anyone else on that metro believed, all that mattered was Jesus was there and i was singing to him. i couldn't help but to just dance and throw my hands up. i'm sure it was a scene to the viewers, but for that moment in time, all that mattered was it was me and Jesus. that's how i want it to be every single moment of the day. just me and the King. lifting him high.
ahhh. it was so incredible. i thought that i was going to come here and struggle with finding Jesus, but i've found him more apparent here than anywhere. maybe it's because i'm searching a little harder, but even still, he's all over Prague. and i'm hoping by the end of my time here, he will be all over a little more of it.
goodnight chum-a-roos,
kam-dogg.
